Disposal & Recycling

COTA has trash and recycling recepticle bins at various locations in the paddocks and collection facilities for used fluids and waste materials. Participants are required to make use of these for all waste materials. Spills of damage causing fluids such as oils, hydraulic and brake fluid and gasoline etc. may occur. All spills must be treated immediately. Please contact one of our Paddock Marshals immediately in the event of a spill.

Food

All three days of the weekend the "COTA Cafe" will be open from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. serving hot lunches and sandwiches. We will also have the Red Fin food truck serving breakfast and lunch options all three days of the weekend.

Fuel

Fuel at COTA:

  1. COTA plans to sell to Premium 93 Unleaded and 101 unleaded at the fuel pumps between the two Paddocks. Credit or Debit Cards only.

In addition, participants may bring their own fuel in 5 gallon containers (COTA prohibits the refueling of cars inside the garages).

Also, there is a Exxon gas station just to the east of the main entrance to COTA on Highway 81.

VP Racing Fuels will Performance Unleaded, 110 and MS109 available. If someone needs something else they need to pre-order. Brad Horton is the VP Fuels POC and you can reach him at vphq@vpracingfuels.com or 210-241-1192.

Garage Information

There will be a limited number of garage spots available for this weekend on a first-come-first-served basis. Note you must both register for a garage AND PAY FOR THE GARAGE AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. We will only be renting ¼ garage spots for $375; limit of a maximum of four ¼ garage spots per customer.

Garages are available for rent on the Registration site. They are 20 feet wide x 65 feet long (or 6 meters x 20 meters). Garages are equipped with 120v outlets, 220v, 30 amps, 60Hz, private bathrooms, epoxy floors, compressed air hookup (no hoses), and double automatic lifting garage doors. Garages have space for up to 6 cars.

Tim Strehl (schnellfest@gmail.com) is in charge of garage assignments for this event. Approximately 10 days prior to the event an email will be sent to all drivers who received garages. It will ask for their preferences concerning persons you would like to be garaged with, needs you may have for parking support vehicles, etc. The email message will request a response within 48 hours. Based on those timely responses we will assign drivers to garages in accordance with their preferences to the extent possible. Drivers who do not respond within 48 hours will be assigned to garages randomly. Approximately 5 days before the event a list of garage assignments will be sent to all drivers who rented garages.

Golf Cart Rental

KC Golf Cart Company is the official golf cart provider for Circuit of The Americas. To reserve a golf cart for this event please contact Andy Leiker at andy@kcgolfcartco.com and tell him you are with the Porsche Club of America Club Race. Let him know your requirements and he will reserve your cart/carts. He will not ask for payment until the week of the event. This avoids issues with refunds.

If you reserve a cart through their website, www.kcgolfcartco, you can still formalize your reservation but you'll have to provide payment up front. Reservations must be completed and paid for prior to the event in order to guarantee a cart will be available.

The golf carts will be ready for pick-up on the load-in day. The carts will need to be returned no later than 5pm on the last day of the event. Please provide a drivers license and a credit card for incidentals when picking up your golf cart. All golf carts will be gas powered with headlights and a roof. For any questions or concerns please contact Andy by email at andy@kcgolfcartco.com or by phone at 913.745.4665.

Please note
  • You WILL NOT need to provide KC Golf Cart Co. with a certificate of liability insurance, even though it is stated on the website that you do.

Hospitality Suite

We will have one of the large COTA second floor Hospitality Rooms available for use throughout the weekend. This is a comfortable air conditioned/heated space where family members can relax while you are driving. It also is a good spot to watch cars on the main straight heading to Turn 1, and cars coming through the carousel.

Parking

Staging on COTA BLVD starts at 6:30am Thursday (please utilize various lots off of COTA Blvd before then). (Group 1) Big rigs, toter rigs, RVs with trailers, and all designated garage support rigs: line up in the curb-side northbound lane beginning 150' south of the tunnel 2 guard shack. (Group 2) All other tow vehicles with trailers, line up in the 2nd lane from the curb, also northbound. (Group 3) All track cars being driven in line up in the southbound curbside lane starting 150' north of the tunnel 2 guard shack. Load-in will begin at Noon with Group 1, then Group 2, followed by Group 3. Please make your way to the guard shack to sign the COTA waiver and get wristbands (all persons must have wristbands before entering the campus). Please do this BEFORE your group starts load-in. The two center lanes must remain open at all times for thru-traffic. Do not block driveways or fire lanes. We have to "stage" parking at COTA in order to use the Main Paddock space most efficiently. This means that big rigs that need to be close to a particular Formula 1 Garage must be parked first so that they can access their assigned parking spot before the paddock fills up with cars. Don't be upset if a vehicle that arrives after you is allowed to park before you do - it's a function of efficiently filling up the available paddock space!

Photography

Sideline Sports Photography (www.sidelinesportsphotography.com) is once again our official event photographer and a sponsor. For Covid reasons, they will not have their sales trailer or sales staff present at COTA. Accordingly, photos can only be purchased online through their website either before, during, or even after the event (orders placed after Monday, March 8 are subject to a $20 post processing fee). If you know you want photos, it's best to order before your first session, as your car will get significantly more coverage and attention, as you will be a known customer. To order, go to their website linked above and click "Ordering" from the bottom of the page, and you will be brought to their ordering portal where you can enter all your info to buy photos for 1, 2 or 3 days of our weekend. Or you can use the QR Code below. If you have any questions or have any issues placing an order, please write to: info@sidelinesportsphotography.com
